On the 18th and 19th of April, the EPP will host a round of seminars in Chisinau, Moldova on the topic of ‘Local self government and minority inclusion in local communities’.
This event will consist of two talks from visiting speakers, including a lecture on the ‘Implementation and monitoring of Roma integration policies at the local level from Dr. Eugenia Relaño Pastor, and a presentation from Antonella Valmorbida on “Local Authorities addressing Minority issues: a European challenge”.
Dr Eugenia Pastor
Dr Eugenia Pastor holds a Doctorate Degree in Law and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. Before obtaining her current position as the Legal Advisor in the Migration and Equal treatment Department of the Spanish Ombudsman, she was a member of the Advisory Panel of Experts on Freedom and Belief for the ODIHR-OSCE from 2005-2012.

Ms Antonio Valmorbida
Antonella Valmorbida has over twenty years of experience in promoting local democracy, the empowerment of civil society and good governance in the European Union and beyond. She has held a number of prestigious positions in this field, ranging from her current position as Secretary General of ALDA (European Association for Local Democracy), to a position as the chair of the EPAN working groups of CONCORD, to being a board member of CIVICUS – The World Alliance for Citizens Participation.
On the 19th of April she will present the topic of ‘Local Authorities addressing Minority Issues: a European challenge’.
